Flat tire today, ruined tire...
I must of ran over a nail today. Was traveling on the toll road and the warning light came on, tire pressure dropped very fast. i was just hoping to exit and find a station or tire shop on Sunday on the Fourth of July weekend.
I pulled into the Firestone dealer and the pressure had dropped to 1 psi. They pulled the tire off and found a small hole. Said they couldn't fix it due to side wall damage. I later had another shop pull the tire and break it down to verify that the tire was damaged beyond repair.
I guess I should have used the tire sealant that the manufacture includes in all of our cars. I wasn't even sure I had one. This was a very expensive lesson.
I'm thinking of replacing the rear tires with ET Street drag radials. I had a tune recently and traction down low is a problem. The drag radials are about the same price as the stock tires. I've heard that they will really solve traction issues. Bye the way, I only use my car on the street, no tracking.
Any thoughts?
