Man, move on or you will not enjoy your P car. I am not being ill-intentioned. Yes the GTS is not what marketing lead us to believe, but still a decent car for the $ for some.

To the benefit of the GTx is a good bang for the $ and this might the problem AMG created for themselves. When MB puts an AMG badge on anything what do you expect?
Now MB markets and leads people to spend a lot of money with the fantasy that they are buying into a high stakes game. So now you have people that stretched themselves and are not getting what they bought into, and are disillusioned and mad.
I understand sympathize with both sides...
Anyways I will keep my good vibes and get ready to go to a party...
I like stockings (Ferrari) over tights (McLaren-Porsche 9ff) or socks (AMG GTS).

Not really I am giving my opinion without calling names or saying that people are morons for buying a car. Cars (to me at least) are very personal thing.

What fantasy were you thinking this car was. ? Maybe you bought too early and didn't consider that fact.

I am not a fan boy of AMG. BUT.. if you have $135-$150+ to drop on a car why not buy an SLS and basically drive it for free?? Why not enjoy all the privileges of a very exclusive car at the price of a GT? I know of multiple people that have bought one to drive and one to collect. I know of one guy that has bought 15 in the US and and shipped overseas and sold at quite a profit. Plus the SLS sounds WAY better then a GT. Yes the NA motor is the last of a dying breed but, at this price point who cares about gas or this or that?? The newest thing is not always the best thing. AMG is desperately trying to sell the GT by making it the GT this and the GT that (GT GT-R GTCR HTC GTs) come on man ...it just ain't going to work. There are people with 2017 GTs that are virtually falling apart. Quite frankly, I was not a fan of the SLS when it came out but, as Jeremy Clarkson says... " It's the thinking man's Super Car" So I urge you to "think" ...If you can afford an SLS.... I highly recommend it.

Are you AMG goons, not entertained? I'm convinced most amg buyers make their money in some
dishonest way since they're so damn evil.
contractors that complete half the job after you pay them!

I WILL...UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES and for confidentiality reasons the poster won't be identified though right AMG 17 GT?
2017 GTS 3214 miles on odometer:
1) Driver's seat squeeks like leather on leather, feels loose, advisor said there is a bulletin for this one
2) Hatch rattles, sounds like it's coming from passenger side near woofer
3) 'Strut' thud or pop noise from the back of the car at slow speeds, very weird noise
4) Gas filler cap sticks, doesn't sit centered on opening, part ordered
5) Transmission feels like it's slipping in reverse on slight incline, nose down, when the car sits and cold--software fix available.
Now I know you are no GTS fan but it sure seems to me that these items are very minor new car "punch list" items that should be resolved in the initial visit. He saved them up and then took the car in.

$99,999 no ups no extras. Why buy new when nearly new will do... 2016 GTS 1395 miles. VIN: WDDYJ7JA2GA008899 https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/d...0142/overview/ https://www.carstory.com/detail/2016...YJ7JA2GA008899
Just to be fair I saw an SLS sell for $99,999 once but, it had... get this.... 109,000 miles on it!

I'm done with this topic. In the past you have had a lot to offer here but this fixation on SLS is better than GTS is more than over done.
Let's agree we disagree and find something more interesting to debate.

Hahaha. I'm sure you will.
I've had 2 63 cars. Very temperamental with gas and heat. SLS rear end not good. Snaps out as its way too front biased by that front end.
Have you driven GT ? IMO there is no comparison with the hookup with the turbos and the new DCT.
