I've been thinking about choices to sit alongside the AMG GT and what better pool of wisdom and insight, than from fellow owners.
Requirements are pretty straightforward - exotic and high performance
1) R8 coupe, although the v10 attracts +€50k of local emissions tax
2) Huracan 580-2 coupe, same tax issue and much more expensive
Both these have local dealer support, which is a huge plus, although I fear for the R8's ground clearance, as the GT just makes it up my drive.
On my 2nd list, due to no local dealer support (or supported badly):
1) McLaren 570S - just love it in Volcano Orange
2) 488GTB - really not sure about this.....
3) Finally Turbo S, although it leaves me a little cold.
Thoughts please - anything I've overlooked?

Yea, that value is way off too, it considers the open market value of a stripped GTS at 242k? Lol, what a scam, and what a ridiculous tax. Not even in Germany, the nation with the most complex and bureaucratic law system in the world.

Looking at this ridiculous extortion (and all the other EU taxes), its compelling that VW got off so easy.
All great exotics you mention. I would go with on of the cars you could service. Nothing worse than an exotic broken in a garage with no support.
Not exotic, but have you thought about a Ford GT350r. Looks like a riot to run hard. And maybe this could be the stables hooligan .

If you're gonna get the v10, may as well hear it
