Most are not even going to put on enough mileage to need two years of service. Owning my GTS for two years and 3 months, it went for service once.
I ordered my GTR so long ago. Probably first or second to order one, and my ****ing dealer can't even tell me where my car is, or when it's going to be here. And of course some people ordered a year AFTER me and they now have their cars.
2 years maintenance? Really.

I'm sorry but that's just stupid.

I did an oil change myself a week after i picked it up
I did an oil change myself at 2,000 miles
I did an oil change at dealer 4,500 miles
So no, I service the oil more frequently than anybody else, but not at the dealer.
The kicker was that I paid for the maintenance plan as well
Possibly. It is a Corporate store.
However I know 3 other guys in my same situation, and their dealers cannot give them any accurate info either. So if my dealer is the problem, the rest are no different.

Only had 6,000 miles on when I sold it

If I had either prepaid for maintenance OR received free maintenance for two years (like current GTR owners), I would take the car in for service all the time. Might as well. I'd drive the car hard and get free oil changes every month. Hell... free diff fluid, tranny fluid, brake fluid, you name it.

From my SA:
Hey Serge hope you had a good weekend. We called on your car and they said they’re hoping to release it next week. Having to do software updates to all GTR and GTC’s, only two have been released in the souther region so far.

If you paid for a maintenance plan, why didn't you take the car in for oil changes instead of doing them yourself?

One can not just bring the car in for service anytime because they have prepaid maintenance. It can only go in under the schedule coverages or if the sensor is stating to service it.

Because he has to follow MBUSA's scheduled intervals and he clearly went outside of that to further protect his engine I would guess (I do the same to get rid of all the metal particles after the first few hundred miles of hard driving).

For this reason and because I never keep my cars long enough; I do not buy prepaid maintenance (BMW comes free)

No, for example my car requires it at 10k (synthetic) or when the sensor comes on. With my BMW M cars its via the sensor or once every 12 months whichever comes sooner. So I do believe Benz will do the service even if you don't hit the trigger or oil sensor- at 12 months. But its best to check the fine print on these maintenance plans or with a trusted service advisor. Ive done 2 oil changes on my GTS (1k and 3k) and that's probably going to be it as she goes bye bye.

And then remember that the dealer charges very high prices for their "service". Service A is a basically a visual inspection and fluid top off vs BMW who changes all M cars' oil at 1200 miles along with the diff. Of course the GTR could be different so please do check. I'm fortunate enough to have an indy whose owner is a certified AMG tech and he does all my services on my 3 AMG's at a fraction of the dealer pricing.

Only $8k in options with a $50k mark up ?
a fully loaded GTR runs $205k. I’d wait on line for my own build. I thought it was illegal for mark up. Guess not!
Fletcher was even higher?

Yes it all depends on the type of diff. My C63 BS, CLS63TT, E63TT, GTS, and C63S all required the 1800 mile change. I don't remember if my SL63TT did or not LOL.

your one dealer and already have five cars. We as customers have to wake up and stop the greed of these dealers.
