I know you guys have followed my build, indecision of choices and eternal waiting for my 2018 GTS. My dealer informed me that they were harder to come by than hen’s teeth. There were no open allocations and that I had to wait for an allocation to open up. I asked if they had any allocations open that they switch places to get me an earlier build. They said no. So I waited. Still I️ wait . My build is in December.

much to my amazement , they had a GT convertible come in last month. They told me they had ordered it long ago . Now , two more. AMG GTs with different specs than mine are in! And i am still waiting for my build date! I think I am getting screwed!

they took my $5000 deposit. Do I continue to wait since i am so close or do I dump them out of principle and go to another dealer and see what they can do for me?

When you say that 2 GTs just came in, are these cars that were specifically ordered for someone or are these in inventory now?

They are just sitting in the showroom collecting dust. They were geneneral spec builds and now in stock

Thats part of their general allocation I would assume and their GSM or New Car Manager built those cars... who knows when they actually had them built but it probably was before your order. Since you went custom they had to get an allocation slot to build your car and thus the wait as it was placed after these were.

As impatient as you are why did you order? And you will state because you want the car your way; then you will need to become patient Your build has almost started, I would just wait at this point and continue to post here LOL.

At least you have a build date. I ordered my GTS in late June, and still do not have a build date, as of today.
Last week, as sales guy at my dealer called me and said that he could get me a GTC, out of Florida, but it was silver, and $30k over my GTS.
I just noticed that there is a GTS (also silver) in stock at the other local MB dealer, but, for some reason, he didn't mention that.

Not to change the subject, but I found this while searching for a Jupiter Red GTS, in stock, somewhere.

A GT Roadster (not GTC)? I did not know that there was such a thing.

Yes, the C version is the more performance version, like with the GTS and the GT. Similar. You can see both and do a build on both at this Mercedes Web Site.
