Replacement Shift Paddles

They aren't the cheap stick-on ones that go over the stock paddles. They are full replacements. I assume the steering wheel needs to be removed and taken apart to replace. Is there a service manual available somewhere showing this process?

These are listed as a direct replacement for the AMG GT family, including GTR. And are "40%" longer.

Why the longer paddles when they move with the wheel. Not needed IMHO like the cars with them on the column.

I don't like holding the steering wheel so low. And I don't like having to use my pinky and ring finger to shift. It's just uncomfortable. I prefer longer paddles so I can hold the wheel a bit higher and don't have to reach as far. Just a convenience thing to get more to grab if I need it. I hope this thread doesn't turn into an argument about this though. A lot of other cars with paddles that move with the wheel have longer ones too. Gives you more leeway to hold the wheel wherever you want.

the reason that the paddles are in the spot they are in is that is where you should hold the wheel for more reason than one.

You can still hold the wheel at 9 and 3 with longer paddles. I'm not here to argue about it. I was just looking for an install guide. And Cutter provided a good link, thanks.

Are you trying to compensate for something with these bigger shift paddles?
