Your roads are no doubt fantastic compared to many of us so hopefully it wouldn’t be too non-compliant of a ride for you. If your GTS was an ‘event’ car; the GTR turns it up to 11! lol

LOL Im good Dave, I think the GTC (non A) would fit my needs better as a street car with some GTR characterisitics. NO need for an event car.

Do you think it will take until March for Mercedes to get the parts and process to the dealers?

Nov. 17 build is getting their GTR delivered?
Hi, so on another thread @V8Ray is getting his GTR delivered now. I asked him about the recall and he said the dealer told him it did not impact his car because the build date was November '17. Does anyone have any info on what build dates the seatbelt recall impacts?

Hi, it is now closing in on 8 weeks since Mercedes issued a hold order on all GT and GTC roadsters built with the seatbelt recall/defect on January 8th. . Of the 350 roadsters for sale in U.S. Dealers right now I think this impacts approximately 75% of them. It seems cars built later than late December had the fix done on the production line or VPC. Dealers have been sitting with cars for quite a while and are unable to sell them, or at least deliver them to customers. No one seems to know when a fix is coming but certainly if cars are being built without this issue, then a fix exists. Does anyone have any insight into this? The lack of information is surprising and if I was a dealer sitting on hundreds of thousands of inventory the factory was forbidding me to sell I would be hopping mad. Meanwhile, my efforts to purchase a roadster are stymied by this recall or geographic distance. The dealers are offering discounts, but a discount on a car that can't be delivered to the buyer isn't much good.....

Just an FYI, my GTC roadster had an 11/14 build date and I took delivery of it about two weeks ago. It did sit in port in LA for more than a week before they were able to ship it, it is possible they were doing that upgrade then. The dealer said it may have been an software update, but they didn't really know.
