2019 gtc

I was going to order a roadster but they are not selling at all, What do you guys think about gtc coupe in a gray matte color. have a nice holiday weekend.thanks

Not sure what you mean by "not selling" but a GTC sounds really exciting. However I am biased lol

I don't know or particularly care how they are selling - but I have a roadster - GTC A and love it. Now I live in Southern California so the top is down most of the time so that's part of the experience no doubt. But the car totally rocks.

No experience to compare it to the coupe.

I think the GTC roadster looks really nice top up or down actually, it is a very desirable car to me .

I think he is talking about sales and days supply of the GTC Vert.... they are not moving all too well even out here in CA.

Purchased a matte grey GTC last weekend, and have put about 900 miles on it. It's an excellent car. Perhaps my only regret is the matte paint. I didn't realize you can't take matte finished cars through normal car washes, and I am too damn lazy to wash it by hand. Working on a plan B. Until then, I will swing by the dealership when it needs to be cleaned off.

I thought long and hard about the magno grey for the GTC Coupe I ordered, but eventually settled on metallic black. I don't mind the hand washing, since I wash mine anyway to avoid swirls. Also, with the car as wide as it is, I would be worried about scraping up the rims in a commercial wash. Here was my decision process...

Pros

Striking when you first see it. It makes the car look intimidating.
Evokes the colors used in F1 cars (as far as I can tell by watching on TV).

Cons

Matte paints are very hard to keep new looking, stain easily with bird droppings and bugs, picks up swirls easily, etc.
Even with the right PPF, it's still hard to keep up.
Any imperfections in the paint can only be fixed by re-painting the entire panel. They cannot be polished out.
Whenever I see a matte paint it is usually a young person driving it, so at 52 maybe it's not really acting my age.
I was worried I would be sick of it after a few months and I plan on keeping the car for a few years.
The curves of the GTC, especially the wide rear fenders, don't pop as much with magno as they do with metallic. Part of why I waited for the GTC is that I really like the look of the wider rear stance.

After thinking a lot about it, the cons won. I realize these are entirely personal decisions and not meant as criticism for anyone who makes different decisions. I have had my car for 6 weeks and love it. I have not regretted my choice at all. I hope this helps.

Congratulations on the car and the deal! From everything I’ve read the convertible is nearly as stiff as the coupe, and, at least for me, the gtc represents a terrific evolution of the gt series.

Never found the ride too stiff. I must have been used to rough rides in my SUVs.
Actually, i find the GTS sorta comfortable.

Because Coupe.

there is about 13% in the Roadster and they sell terribly slow (but thats the bareballs cost from a dealer perspective unless trunk)

nope.. wish there was on roadsters.. but IM in the northeast.. Im shocked they dont sell better in Cali?

Havent had any coupe stay here for more than a week.. granted 8 out of 9 were pre sold before they got here

I think the convert is beautiful but it's too damn hot in So Cal. to do much top down cruising and after a few visits to the dermatologist I decided it had to be the coup.
But the convert is sweet..

I beg to disagree! But playfully. I too live in So Cal, have all my life, and find that a cap and some SPF 10 million are all that's needed. I have my top down 90% of the time. Different needs for different folks...no?
