Skid plate for the nose of the GTs??

Does anyone have info on a skid plate for the GTs. I've seen them for other cars, but haven't been able to locate one for my GTs (edition 1)

Don't! I fabricated one out of aluminum for another car I had. It was beautiful and strong...too strong. So when I made contact with a curb, it protected the bumper lip well..but yet pushed the entire bumper against my fenders and messed up with fenders as wells as the clips for the headlights.

I feel your pain. I scraped my GTS E1 spoiler on one of those curb stops that are just a little higher than they need to be.

I came to the conclusion that I need to be more aware of curb stops and overly crowned roads until MB decides to follow Porsches trick automatic height increase feature which is activated by a sensor.

Thank you all,

I agree sometimes reinforcing the nose makes the damage transmissible to other areas. I am careful with it - the risers in San Diego are awful its all about 45 degrees and slow.
they need to change the heights to accommodate the taxpayers who own nicer cars... LOL

Correct me if I’m wrong but when I lived out there I understood that the roads are crowned as much as they are to facilitate rapid water runoff. It only happens once in awhile but when it does.....

That is true, but there are some areas where the roads are from the late 80's and they still have these ungodly heights.... the car tech has changed - the roads - welll...... we know that story.
