Porsche have worked very hard on heat management with the GT3.

Even after road driving, I notice the AMG GT fans seem to cool the engine and turbos after switch off, where the GT3 is still cooling its rads and brakes.

If we're talking engine cooling I think that the GTR engine cooling is excellent. On my cool down laps in the GTR engine/oil temps drop fast and the car is usually showing temps that are below what I normally see on the road when I pit.

100% agree that engine and transmission cooling is great in the GT R. Highest engine oil temp I’ve seen yet was around 250dF and transmission at 215dF iirc.

I have now tracked my car at Hockenheim and at Spa and while the brakes drastically faded at Hockenheim after only 5-6 laps, they lasted a lot longer at Spa largely because Hockenheim is actually harder on brakes. You also have 3-4 big braking points at Spa but the lap is so long that the brakes get a bit of a chance to cool down between the "big" application points. In fact, it runs out of tires before it runs out of brakes. Whereas Hockenheim, which also has 3-4 big braking points, is a much shorter lap so the brakes get no rest at all and quickly over heat. At the same tracks, my GT3 runs all day.
Good data.

Irons or CCMs?

What brake fluid?

This is how brakes should look. We had a night track event at COTA last weekend. It was fun fun. So far the car is great. Cobalt is developing a set of brake pads for track use, once they have them I’ll let you know.

Check Co my instagram for video of the car.

The brakes are steel, they did well. That they was the hottest I tracked the car at 100 degrees F and 90% humidity. Only in a few spots I felt the pedal a little softer but nothing that can be cured with a straight.

What fluid?

SRF

How long were u into that run?

The brakes glow in the first lap, so I have multiple pictures of them glowing at certain corners, some are harder than others. This braking zone in particular is the one on turn 12, the hardest braking point of the Track (Cota)

How many runs that night?

I did five sessions that day of around 17 minutes each. The heat was miserable until the night so I cut the short.

In summary my brakes do good but not as good as porsche gt3 steel brakes with same set up. I use Hoosiers R7 on both my cars and the GTR runs through pads like crazy. They last me 2 or 3 days. My next track day I will try new rotors ( stock ) with a custom set of pads from Cobalt. I’ll keep you posted on that boys.

That day I Did 2:24 multiple times but not trying really hard. The track was very hot.
My fastest is 2:21 and in know I have a 2:19 In me. I need harness to drive faster too. A friend of mine that coached me did a 2:20 but temperatures where much cooler then but the track was just shaved for moto GP too, that’s why I know we both have room for improvement.
Maybe in October after F1
