Used 2018 pricing...
Hi all. Posting this for a friend as although I’m very familiar with Porsche and Ferrari pricing I have no clue about the GTR
He’s looking at a 2018 they have at Max Boston, about a year old, 3100 miles, MSRP just under $184K. Asking $1300 over and giving a fair trade on his R8.....they’ll come down to about $178K on the car....
Question: Are these trading used at or close to sticker for a year old car? Is he better off ordering a new 2019 assuming one can be had for MSRP and allocations are avail?
Thanks for any insight....

Interesting to look at this post now.
2018/2019 AMG GTRs definitely seem to be going up a little bit (or at least not dropping further) in price (at least based on AutoTrader in Canada). Obviously price listing does not equal to sold price but it is interesting to see the price not dropping further.

I had an opportunity to purchase a 2016 AMG GTS in Frozen Silver with 20K km's back in 2019 for $92K out the door at which time I decided to buy my 2019 Vantage instead.
I just purchased a 2016 AMG GTS with fewer options (not Frozen) and 24K km's last month for just over $105K out the door. Sure seems like to me that either the prices have gone up or there is just such limited inventory that the dealers can ask and get what they want.

There is no stock of 2021 MY. Plus ppl with money are bored mindless and buying exotic sports cars.
Look at huracans, ferrari 458/488 - all have also gone up at least 10% from pre covid. Best time to buy was when covid lockdown hit last year (may - oct).
Stock market gains also means ppl have money to spend.
I'm considering selling my 2020 gtc, they are going for more then I paid last July.

I have a buddy who just sold his 2019 R8 RWS after two years of ownership and 10K km's for more than what he paid for it. I think it's a crazy market for exotics and these caliber cars in general.
