Hi,

If you've read Akta's excellent oil change thread, you've got your answer.

Here's how to change the oil. This also gives you a description of how and where the oil level is checked. You don't need any parts for this.

On the fly:

You can definitely use the screws again. The display of the AMG menu is also sufficient for transmission oil temperature. (The deviation from the star diagnosis is minimal) If possible, before jacking up, drive until the transmission has reached 120 degrees Fahrenheit (50 degrees Celsius). Save time.

Jack up, remove panels:

1. Gear set:

Transmission oil temperature at approx. 104 degrees Fahrenheit (40 degrees Celsius) - Unscrew filler plug (1e). Nothing should overflow. If so, let it run until no more oil overflows.(just trops)

2. Clutch / hydraulics / differential:

Run engine (transmission in D) until transmission oil temperature reaches approximately 140 degrees Fahrenheit (60 degrees Celsius) Engine still idling. Unscrew the filler screw (2e).
Nothing should overflow. If so, let it run until no more oil overflows. (just fast trops)

Best regards

Stenzel

Thank you @Stenzel-Germany. So I removed the fill plugs tonight (at approximately proper temperatures) and nothing came out. Could it be possible that the fluid that has seeped had seeped out of these filler holes when the gear set and differential were potentially overfilled? These screws seemed pretty well-seated but I just don't know the possibility of them leaking/seeping it things were overfilled.
