It's a pain. You have to push out the pistons and remove the rubber seals as they can't handle the heat from baking the powder. It's similar to a total brake caliper rebuild. It would be a lot easier to pay it professionally painted although it would be more susceptible to chemicals, brake cleaners, etc..

Thanks....I figured it would be a time-consuming effort, and I'm paying for a thorough job. But from what you're saying, it's doable, and not a bad idea. I'll have to stick up some photos when it's done.

weve done more than a few sets. Shouldnt be a problem at all. Make sure to have the shop do a complete break down remove all seals and fittings and properly mask off all inlets/outlets to prevent any material getting into the caliper i.e. sand from sandblasting (prep) and powder from the coating process as this could potentially cause issues.
