Hi all. So I take my Ford Van on a trip the other day. The last 100 miles was terrible. The engine would surge and stumble and then all of a sudden for a brief time come back to normal. The van has 170000 miles on it and I did a bit of research and attached my MB2 diagnostic tool to the van which gets me OBD 2 data. Fuel pressure was fluctuating which was my suspicion.

Time for a new fuel pump. I was not going to lower the gas tank myself and since its a cargo van I decided to make a hole to remove the pump. Here is a few pictures of my repair. Van works great now!!!!!

IF I recall in the service data the GTC has a fuel pump removal PORT to make the job a bit easier.

Sorry should have spent more time talking about how nice it is that the GT has a port to get at the fuel pump. I got a GTC and I got a Ford.......... perhaps Im just trying to encourage people to dive into fixing their own stuff......
