I know it has been raised before but after finally getting to drive the car a bit I noticed how high the temps in slow traffic. Car is new and has now maybe 80 miles on it...
Engine was sitting at 212 and tranny at 197. Definitely higher than what I was expecting. Our E63a is typically around 160 going to 195.

212? Have you experienced that on your car when new?

What is your ambient temp? What mode are you in? Otherwise, those are perfectly normal. Those numbers will go down once you get up to speed. On a hot day (Vegas hot) they can climb to 217-221 (engine) and you are still well within the normal working range. If you're not in comfort mode. Switch to it and the temps will drop a bit. No need to turn off your a/c - lol.

Very normal - I have ambients of well over 100 - regularly see >210 for engine and >190 box.

IIRC, the G seems to run a little cooler, particularly the box, but I'll keep a closer eye.
