I noticed today that one of my tail lights has cracks. I didn't hit the car and no one hit me since the fender is untouched, it's impossible to hit that spot without hitting the car. Is it low quality plastic? Has anyone experienced this before?

I don't think so but I'm also puzzled as to how it happened, I'm pretty careful with it, I'd have heard or felt any kind of weird bump. Now I feel I can unsee those cracks ...
Has been an issue with cars in the past. Either poor design, inferior materials or both. Don’t spend a dime buying someone’s used! Take it in and demand replacement under warranty.

Every GT I’ve seen, including brand new ones on the showroom floor, have tiny cracks like this.
My left rear just developed a larger mark, not really a crack, it looks like condensation but it’s not. It will be replaced under warranty.
Hmm mine has small cracks too, might have to get it replaced under warranty as well then. Didn't bother me much before
I have checked 3-4 brand new GTC and GTRs and they all have fine vertical lines/cracks at the base of the tail lamps. I know that MB will replace under warranty; but not sure it’s worth it, as they will probably happen again.
