Quick fix for Sun visor that does not light up correctly.
Hi all. Hubby and I went on a long trip last weekend and he happened to notice the passenger sun visor did not line up correctly to light up the mirror light in ONE of the TWO positions. Otherwise put the visor would not go on the shaft far enough in to contact the two outer metal contacts.
I ended up taking the visor out by removing TWO T25 screws. I then came to understand the shaft the visor rides on can be pulled out of the visor and to my surprised all I had to do was grind off about 2/16 of an inch off the end of the shaft. Now the visor slides correctly to the outer metal contacts and the mirror light works as you would expect.
PS. heres a couple pics from our trip. Stopped in Mobile Bucees and then off to Planes Georgia to do a car show. Finally stayed the night in Folkston Georgia to watch trains.
