2020 AMG GTR-Pro

I have an opportunity to purchase a 2020 GTR-Pro and have 2 questions:

1) Since the car has already been ordered, and has been already assigned a VIN number, but will be built in January 2020, I'm told that I can't make any changes to the car at this time. Is this correct?

2) What are the group member's thoughts on the car appreciating in value given that only 150 will be available in the U.S.?

1: I would think that this far out, the ‘build’ shouldn’t be locked and changes should still be able to be made;

2; I very much doubt if the Pro will appreciate. It will certainly lose value when the Black Series is finally released, although probably at a slower rate then the regular GTR.

I agree with this. I put my deposit down in July on an August build and the dealership still tried to request a change for me. Still unsure if Mercedes will accept my change request (probably not) but 4 months out shouldn't be an issue at all...

And...imo...zero chance this car appreciates. I know mine won't. I am going to beat the **** out of it.

There are several GTR's that have Jan production dates that are frozen to changes already, so it's possible that this PO has moved into that status. However the car has not been assigned a VIN# yet. The latest GTR (PRO or non-PRO) with a VIN# is a 12/2 production date.

I see there's a PRO already delivered in ATL listed online, wonder if that one is taken or asking over MSRP...

Give me a call at 408-892-1000 as I have a 2020 GT-R Pro on order (held with a deposit) that should arrive at the Mercedes-Benz dealership that I ordered the car from within the next 14 to 21 days.
