No boost?

Hi gang. My boost gauge is blinking and my car has no power. It drives and all that but no power. Tried restarting it a few times and my gauge is still blinking.

Thoughts?

Might have holed one of your intercoolers, they’re very susceptible to stones. Need the codes reading obviously when you can get it done.

Seems like my boost gauge is going nuts now...it's not blinking but any gas and it goes full and I have no boost.

No lights on the dash...seems almost like a limp mode thing. I don't see any holes in the intercoolers.

Is there anything else I can check?

This is just a guess and it may be of no help, but you could try an electrical reset, by that I mean disconnect the battery, wait 10 minutes and reconnect. When I woke up my SL55 this past spring from it's winter nap the supercharger was not functioning at all. I had the accessory battery on a trickle charger and had disconnected the starter battery over the winter, no issues in past years. Did the discon/recon bit and all was well. Granted the cars are different animals, but I doubt our turbochargers are strictly mechanical....could be just a gremlin. Works on a Boeing too <G>.
One other thought, IIRC, you had your tune done at a shop, have you given them a call?

You’ll have to take the car back to whomever installed the RT tune for you as your issue is obviously related to the tune itself, or the installation of. It’s almost like a vacuum line may have slipped off of a fitting. Is that even a ‘thing’ anymore? lol

I did the tune myself. It’s been running great since the install. The tune requires you plug in the hand held tuner and that’s it. No touching anything under the hood. I reverted the car back to stock and it’s still doing it so I know it’s not tune related.

Update...the dealer has my car and I am awaiting my aftermarket warranty company to approve the repairs. If this happens to anybody here is the parts you need to fix it.

Part #

178 010 3701 (Purge Line) around $210.00

178 018 0400 (Purge Line) around $80.00

001 476 4432 (Purge Control Valve) around $70.00

190 621 3400 (Retaining Plate) around $20.00

009 988 097864 (Clamp) around $6.00

MB is saying it takes 5.8 hours to do the job...

I will update once I hear more.

The purge line was clogged or damaged? How that does happen? Ask your dealer for a possible explanation! (see like there is 2 threads on this issue; try to keep it in the same).

I am having same issue : pulled code p152300, ck valve of evap control system (@partial load), is stuck on. After diagnosing ,I've come up with the same remedy ,clogged inline ck valve. I have ordered the same parts and will be installing once they are delivered. It all happened all of the sudden. prior day felt a couple of hesitations, following day, upon start up absolutely no boost and boost gauge doin funny things. amazed how much these turbos make the power for this 4.0.

Anyone have updates or new info on this topic? Having the same issue and will be purchasing parts listed to try to fix the issue.

Looks like the dealership is pretty honest. I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area. This reminds me of around 2001 when I had a 93 Mazda RX7 and no turbo boost. An East Bay shop charged me $12k to rebuild the turbo. Turbo came back, still no boost. They found out the pre-cat was clogged. Another $2k. Sold the car for a SLK230 Kompressor.

Yes! the above items were the correct fix for my vehicle , plus clearing all codes instantly turned turbos back on. Full power.
