Anyone know a good company that sells wind diffuser for the mirrors. I need them for track days, and I see porsche and bmw sell them but having a hard time finding someone who makes them for amg gtr and any other amg's.

 

I've been searching too because you cannot hear the engine with the windows down due to the huge amount of air buffer. I cut the secondary cats on my GTR instead and that helped a lot

 

Ya that is true, I took my E63 amg s to the track and it is mandatory to have your windows down but the wind buffer is horrible. I just placed an order for a amg gtr and was hoping if I can get my hands on one.

 

I've looked pretty hard and as of right now there is nothing. you could kind of make your own with foam and tape but since the GT's mirrors come out of the door vs pillar there is nowhere to put the "porsche style" wind diffuser .

 

Even windows up, the mirrors create quite a bit of buffeting and noise. The problem is the mirror mounts to the door on the GT, so a lot of the traditional wind diffusers that go in the area where the mirror mounts won't work.

Could see if someone can 3d print some for the mirror housing themselves, or the a pillar. Other option is a b-pillar type design like this? But with the seats that would be really hard.

You can do your own with a pice of ABS plastic, a heat gun and double sided tape.
Experiment with size and placement ether on the door or mirror inside edge..
I did his on my old 991 Turbo S
