Radio/multimedia screen removal
Hello,
I need to remove the radio/multimedia screen. I had some spillage down there want to remove to clean it up. Anyone else had to remove? Only shop manual I’ve seen is removal of center console and air vents above which I’ve done but no exposed clips or attachments for radio. At this point, I hope not, maybe the top IP pad has to go or attachments under the mesh screen above radio houses the attachments? If so I’ll need to figure removal of that? Probably just some push clips up/down. Idk.

Many Thanks for posting the shop manual for radio removal. Exactly what was looking for. And glad it’s 2 attachments behind and under the mesh screen.
I also want to mention I’ve been using this trim removal kit I bought from Amazon. Nice kit to have in the garage if dealing with interior trim parts. Especially for only $25.

Thanks for sharing.
I would be interested to understand whether or not one can replace the Comand screen of the 2016 GTS with the bigger, 10,25" one from the facelift models?
I'm looking for a parts number on the new, original screen. I do understand there's an 10.25" android touch screen available but I would prefer the original one.
Anyone has an idea about the part number & whether it would require extensive changes or if the bigger screen would be mountable on the existing slot?
