alignment
so do I understand this correctly? On my 2017 amg gt with 4500 miles, the front tires are wearing quickly on the inside of the tires compared to outside, 5/32 vs 7/32. I imagine this is due to the aggressive camber settings. From reading posts, that can only be changed by replacing the factory shims? maybe not worth it? and would it reduce the wonderful handling of the car? thx for your input.

Yes, that is due to the factory camber settings, and you would need a shim kit from MB to change it, which is about $160. As far as handling goes, I'm really not certain you'd ever notice the difference in handling outside of 8/10ths+ driving on the track.

If the car is on a factory alignment the front toe could be off. Find a great alignment shop locally and have it checked prior to spending big money on the OEM shims you might not need.

Yes and toe will wear tires out faster than camber. Toe can be out quite a bit without having bad driving manners.
For most driving an aggressive alignment just wears out tires quickly and as stated above, it’s hard to tell the difference between an aggressive and not so aggressive alignment for many people
You will certainly be good friends with the local tire shop with front wear like that. It’s usually the back that has more inner tire wear than the front in my cars,

The toe in is easily adjusted with wrenches, any competent shop will be able to do this. I would consider taking to a reputable shop, as it requires somebody skilled working the machine and the machine to have good calibration. I have purchased bad alignments in the past.
