Hi guys,

Just joined the pack, got my 2016 AMG GTS Edition 1 about 2 weeks ago. Love it , nothing major so far.

However, today I was trying to move my passenger seat (Power seat) but it wouldnt move an inch... I don't know what happened but when I first picked up it was working just fine.

So, it would not move Forward, Backward, Upward or Downward, but Side Bolstering works. Driver side is fine, totally works.

Any idea what I should go about? Any advice I would appreciate it. I've read other threads about the issue but I was wondering if AMG GT specific.

I had my car in a few months ago with this issue, it was at the dealer 3 different times, first they thought it was the fuse, then they thought it was the module, it ended up being the wire harness on the passenger side, they said that there is little play and it ended up getting a short somewhere, they replaced that and all was good.

Thanks for the information, do you know how much the cost for replacement? or was it under the warranty?

Mine was under warranty, but I would pass the info on to them so you don't go through what I did, after checking the fuse, they had to order the module which took a week, I didn't want to leave my car for a week and drive the E300 rental for a week lol, so i took it back a week later and they kept it again for 3 days to find out it was the harness, and again they had to order the part, this time it was 2 weeks, and again i did not want to drive the GLC for 2 weeks lol. So just have them check everything the first time.

Okay, greatly appreciate the feedback!

So I went to check it out again, it seems to work fine now, I didnt do anything special just turned on the ignition.... so i guess it was just on and off thing..

but will definately let me mechanic know next time I go for services.

I bet $100 bucks it is a short in the harness.
