Help with ground clearance
The vehicle cleared with more room than I was expecting. It wasn't much, but it was a good 1 - 1.5 inches of space. Its short overhang has a lot to do with it.
Just to provide an update though on my vehicle hunt ... a few days later, I ended up putting in an offer on a vehicle that was accepted. I was approved for financing, and then was waiting for the PPI to be completed. That is when the dealer told me they "accidentally" sold the car to another customer. So I never ended up getting the car. A week or so later, I see they had shipped it off to another dealership in a different province and the price went up by $18,000 from what I had negotiated.
I looked at a few other vehicles locally after that, but for one reason or another they weren't an ideal fit for me (undesired configuration, questionable condition, or overpriced).
However, I ended up moving forward with my original desire of an Audi R8 V10 Spyder (manual). The irony though is that even though the specs on the R8 show an extra 2 - 3 degrees of ramp angle, and should clear the driveway better, in actual usage, it has less ground clearance than the AMG GT. If I perfectly maneuver the car, it has only about 1/2 inch of clearance. I've already managed to scrape the R8 on my driveway (although it is under the car, so you can't see it thankfully)!

This doesn't surprise me at all, and is one of the major contributing factors to the R8 not making the list of potential dailies when I was shopping.
