Understandable, but now that I think about it, I only use the volume buttons and the OK on mine. So it wouldn't bother me at all.

they work as an additional "ok" and home now... pointless but they aren't 100% dead

A few pics of the wheel installed, and the completely unnecessary carbon side skirts and I wrapped the center Star in the grill

does anyone have access to a steering column diagram like the one attached for both the 2018 and 2020 versions of the car? Additionally, part numbers for item 8 would be a huge bonus! My guess is that this is how we could relocate the cruise functions to the steering wheel from the column.

That steering wheel looks great. What phone mount are you using? I haven't found anything I like yet. Still just throwing it in the cup holder.

Im getting closer (I think). If these two are interchangeable, that should make ALL the buttons work on an upgrade to the new wheel....part looks to be about $400 new from the dealership sources.

Did Ask Carbon aka "Beast" sell me a replica steering wheel advertised as OEM?

2. lane vibration is an added option can be done.

3. it included an OEM Mercedes airbag with Part #s (all genuine) they stressed this heavily . I even confirmed with my dealership.

4. they are customized in eupope and Asia depending on their stock and the job @ hand. They are made using OEM Mercedes AMG parts. So it’s not aftermarket. My steering wheel has the oem Benz logos and parts # just as my stock wheel had.

hope that helps!
Fellow AMGers
If you have bought a steering wheel from Ask Carbon, owner is "Beast", or are thinking about ordering one, please read this thread over in the W205 C63 sub-forum so you can make an informed decision.

sorry missed this, the phone mount is the proclip mount for the AMG GTS and then a swivel magnetic mount, you can get a swivel cradle too. My phone case is metal on the back so just sticks through the magnet (and fortunately supports fast charging through the case when I'm at home)

I haven't checked part numbers, but I did get a wheel from ask carbon, it has been completely plug and play including the LCD display/shift lights at the top. I installed the wheel, plugged in the Bluetooth module (with ODBII passthrough) and it worked right away. There was slight damage to one of the AMG emblems on the wheel during shipping and they shipped me a whole new carbon part at their cost, so my experience has been great.

HI,
I collect my 2016 GTS on Friday (cant wait) and really want to fit the latter wheel with the LED's. However, the guys that do this in the UK cant work out where to pick the live feed up other than headlights which means it would only work when theyre on.....any ideas welcomed.
TIA

I am based in the UK.
I bought the wheel from Ask Carbon and couldn't recommend him more.
He is very very good on Instagram DMs - very quick responses.
He helped me to design what I wanted. You also get to see the wheel before it ships via FedEx priority delivery to UK.
The complete design and shipping to UK was under 30 days.

The wheels are completely plug and play. No drama. No coding.
The connections are via the OBD2 port under the steering wheel giving you all functional buttons

I wouldn't risk any other wheel.

I'm Us based the but the wheel I got was wired to get constant power on ignition from the existing steering wheel plugs inside the wheel, the LED comes on as soon as I turn the ignition on, I didn't have to run any wires.
