If anyone has a squeak noise when you close the trunk
Hi all I touched on this noise in my post about changing the transmission fluid but I thought it would be worth while to post about it specifically. On my GTC when I closed the trunk there was a squeak noise. Also when I was washing the car if I pushed on the license plate area the noise was present as well.
When I did the trans fluid change I had the rear aero covers (or bottom belly pans) down and was able to trace down this squeak noise. It turns out there is a nice shiny heat shield that buts up to the rear bumper cover. A small section of this shiny heat shield was making contact with the rear bumper cover and it was making the noise. To solve the problem I simply took my hand and gently bent the heat shield a tiny bit so it did not come in contact with the rear bumper cover.
The noise has been permanently gone!
PS Lowering the bottom aero covers requires a number of 8mm bolts to be removed but aside from that its not really that complex.

I have squeaky box spring sound from driver's seat whenever I go through a bump (even very small bump). I just readjusted the bolster/seat and has since gone away. Hopefully they don't come back again. The suspension is so hard that I think all kind of rattle sounds are possible...
