Tapping into amplifier.

Looking to test/install a 12volt soundbar in the hatch behind the seats to see if I fill in the empty sound stage back there. Any cheap/easy way to tap into the amplifier signal for an rca output?

Are you talking about Line Output Converters? The Audiocontrol LC2i is around $100. I've used it to add a subwoofer to factory stereos.

I sure hope you figure this out as I was looking into a simple JL audio swap years ago, And all I could find were local guy who wanted to jack me up $$$$$$.

Is this the same As that audio control? It does have a sub out. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...1mIVUYTzSVL93v

I did read this. No idea if it’s accurate.

I think our systems require something a little more complex than a regular LOC. Everywhere I search I keep coming back with JL Fix 82. I'm trying to see if there is a cheaper signal processor/loc than can do a similar job. I'm not going crazy just want a little sound behind me is all.

I believe the other problem is there won’t be enough power.

Does anyone have the factory cut out dimensions and depth?

Fix82 is what I'm using but I ripped out the entire stock system. I need the processing it provides to run aftermarket speakers.

If you just want to ADD 1 speaker, I think a simpler LOC should work. You're still going to need an amp to run the extra speaker. And then if you want it to look good instead of just sitting in the trunk, that'll be expensive.

The cheapest option to add a sub would be to get a $100 Audiocontrol LOC and a sub that is already powered with it's own amp. JL sells several. Downside is it doesn't look OEM.
