That is how I feel where I live...and it’s a totem pole of two. An older fella who has been buying,
collecting and selling for years - and me - new to mercedes/amg (2 buys) in the last 10 months.

But I get it and can be patient.

if this car beats porsche gt2 rs, I would say, this car deserve a whopping 600 USD as base price. but AMG they are very kind. they will give it to you for less than 400 USD. car is not about money, its about believing in their engineering. its a waste to buy this car and keep it for appreciation, i think it deserve to be driven until its done. if you are so rich, buy 2, keep one at home and drive one daily or track it. you know what, even the regular amg gtr is a keeper, i've already put so many mileage on it without caring about the depreciation. and i get a lot more attention than porsche, lambos , r8, & mclaren. not sure about ferrari. people kept driving from far away just to get close and see this car. even the owners who owns a amg gt 4 door 63s. and i think this car is underrated.

You would have to be really, really wealthy to track this car on a regular basis, the depreciation and maintenance would be out of the roof.
CCBs, virtually indestructible in regular driving, would be destroyed within just a few days (or less) on the track and their replacement sends the chill down my spine.
I used to track often about 10-115 years ago but used a dedicated car for it, used a 430 Challenge that I picked up dirt cheap from a fellow using it in only one season (Ferrari Challenge).
That car was perfectly suited for that purpose and I sold it for the same price I bought it after 4 years of incredible fun.
