Guys, I’ve had a number of AMGs but never a GT. I’m about to buy a 2017 CPO AMG GT. 30k miles on it. It will be my daily driver. Question: are AMG GTs made for heavy miles? Last question: tires/brakes, normal driving, average life? All input is really appreciated. I’m crazy excited about this, but want to go in eyes wide open.

My 2018 GTC has about 40,000 miles on it and is still like new. Wonderful car for trips. Certainly not my Maybach in comfort but dam its still nice.

Be ready for new tires every +- 15K miles. Brake job comes fast too. Both are pricey.

I believe it’s probably better to have one that’s been driven more regularly than sitting in the garage. I’d be more worried about any bodywork than anything else.

I looked into their longevity before making a purchase and the sum of the opinions I read up on are that the car is very reliable. I could not find any horror stories of higher mileage cars running into issues. I still purchased an aftermarket warranty just in case though. If you are looking for a service, Fidelity seems to offer the best in terms of price and coverage (mine was more expensive and I am wishing I went with Fidelity).

Good luck with the decision!

I've had a 2016 with 30k miles since feb. I get the occasional "electronic differential is unavailable" usually during rain and it then goes away. I will eventually see if the dealer has a update for it software wise. The brakes from MB are $$$$. i bought Brembo rotors and hawk pads and did it myself for $1200 for all 4 corners, would have been $5k at the dealer. The brakes are easy to do.

Everyone, thanks for the input. I'm talking to the banks today to see the best rates. I made sure the CPO AMG brakes and tires were good. The CPO warranty is 2 years and unlimited miles so I plan on enjoying it. Will post photos once it's mine.
