2006 SL65 ///AMG - GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN: 2005 E55; 2002 ML55; 2001 CLK55; 1992 BMW 850i; 1991 M5
I知 Back!!!

Wow. After 3 years of driving a ‘non-///AMG’ vehicle I am finally back. My prior ///AMG vehicles were CLK55, ML55, E55, SL65, and currently a GLE63 ///AMG-S. 3 years ago, I traded my KLEEMANN tuned ‘06 SL65 for a 2015 Maserati GranTurismo Sport. Why? Well, my SL shot the pinion through the rear diff cover on a HARD 1-2 shift. And $5,000.00 worth of parts and labor later - off warranty, of course - my better half said ‘it’s time for a change.’ I immediately found the Masi woefully underpowered, but after adding lowering springs, wheel spacers, sport cats/downpipes, and tint, I found myself enjoying the ‘elegance’ of the Masi more and more and missing the sledge-hammer power of the SL65 less and less. FWIW - the Masi GranTurismo is the most beautiful looking, most beautiful sounding car I have ever owned. Hands down.

Well, my local dealership just received a 1-owner 2016 GT-S with RENNTECH Stage-1 upgrade (ECU & downpipes) with 7,400 miles. It was fully loaded with pano roof and ceramic brakes - basically every option box checked. They originally sold the car to its one and only owner who decided it was time for a change. And they installed the RENNTECH package and are intimately familiar with the car. They treated me well on the Masi and I did the deal today. The Stage-1 GT-S is just incredible. It feels really good to be back.

Can’t tell you how nice it is to have a car that will swing the *** loose (with ease) from a roll at 45mph. Burnouts are cool. But burnouts at 45 are just plain different.
