So few cars I've owned in the past 2 years are the V8 vantage S, Virage, Supra, and F type. I'm currently with a GTS. I'd say I do prefer the steering on the V8s, sound of the V12 Virage(basically the limited edition facelift MY12 DB9), the nimbleness of the Supra and daily usability(being a cheaper car) even though it is the ugliest car and I hated seeing it(bought in January and sold in May). F type's linear forced induction acceleration.
About the GTS: It's not the quickest, not the most nimble, styling is good but not 10/10, usability is not quite ideal as some others BUT it overall is lovely. It's not as good-looking as the British but I still like how it presents(surprisingly I prefer the cleaner look of the GTS than the GTC/GTR). It's not as big a trunk as the Vantage or F type, but longer than the Virage and deeper than the Supra. The reliability is too new to say but certainly hope it would be better than my V8S that was driven hard or my not fixable F-type's AC(If you want my story go to the Jag forum and search for AC warranty stuff). The car is quick and feels planted(Virage felt quicker than it is and GTS is just quick but you feel a bit less, F type doesn't do relatively well with feeling planted). My BIG problem with the GTS is exhaust notes. I HATE a lot of stuff on the Supra if you guys can't tell yet, but even that car has a more appealing noise than the GTs. So
I'm happy with what the car is and I think this will be a car I sit a bit longer on(5 cars through two years isn't very healthy)

I have other Porsche's and just about to make a deal on a S class coupe, but the Targa is sort of a full circle for me. Around 48 years ago I bought my first Porsche a white targa, so I thought my 45th Porsche should be another targa. This one is pretty loaded and right now it has Alpin winter tires and I use it as my winter fun car. The AMG and the other sports cars are in storage and will not see the road again until April 1st. Five cars, that could be just a month for me, but I do keep a bunch at a time. The Targa is not (my car is modified and some of the issues the Targa has have been make less severe), to some is the best looking 911. My car is Jet Black metallic and the roof color is unusual and sets the car off. Even where I live where 911's are pretty common (there are at least 8 Porsche dealers with 30 min of me) that Targa gets its fair share of attention (not something I like at all), but if you want a true drivers 911 it would not be a Targa. They are heaviest 911 and are probably more of a GT car than a sports car, but they can handle snow extremely well and are (I have been told that I should not say this because I am so used to the characteristics of these cars that it is second nature to me) very easy to control in almost any situation. I have lists of cars I should have kept (gearshift 430 coupe among them) worst cars I've owned (Merkur and F type among the ones on that list), but I have enjoyed every Porsche (except the Cayenne Turbo) I have ever owned. I am being offered a pretty great deal on a Taycan turbo right now, and I will probably turn it down I actually like my 2020 BMW M550i better, but I am pretty sure my criteria for a car is very different than most if not all of you. I have said this many times before to many people but I believe it to be an important fact, my opinions on cars are not based on reviewers (I don't like youtube), they are based on my 50 + years of experience with them. Since your experiences are different, so will your opinions. I recently took someone to shop for a car, first thing they noticed in each car was the size of the screens on the dash, not something I care about at all. So if you ask me what the Targa does that the coupe or cab does not (besides looking better, I'd say not much, not much at all. Happy Holidays to all of you.

Treat f type as an aggressive sounding British bodied American Muscle, it's a straight line car for the most. You kinda buy it as a sculpt than a car
