At risk of sounding thick, as per the title can I play a CD in my 2016 GTS,does it have a single slot somewhere? Ive had the car about 3 weeks and trolled through the manual and online but cant find one.

Have run the car for close to 3 years and I will now admit, being too proud to ask previously, had NO idea where the CD player is?!!
Still have no idea why it has a SD car slot but that's perhaps because I stream my music via Bluetooth over a wifi hotspot.

I think for me the wife pointed it out. I was surprised that I overlooked it but really it's not obvious. I do use it everytime I drive. Bruno Mars is the soundtrack of choice right now.

Wanted to test out how awkward it would be to get a CD in/out of there, when I first picked up the car, but then realized I don't think I've owned a music CD in at least 8 years, and forgot about it until now. It's definitely in an unobtrusive and out of sight location, which I appreciate as someone who will never use it.

It's also a DVD player so you can play your favorite movies. You can even unlock it so you can play it while you are driving. I haven't done that though.

I had that device in my Lexus, essentially bypassed the motion lock. Also allowed me to enter GPS while driving, which was my reason for purchasing. Worth every penny. Though, Im sure the Mercedes would be more challenging to retrofit.

There are several software options out there that will unlock your DVD player or the option of navigation address input while driving, This is one below. Don't let the name throw you off he does Mercedes too.

Technology moves fast. I had to use a bridge or “piggy back” 5 years ago to do this. Love it. Now I have a reason to use the SD slot. Lol.

I don't see the AMG GT as an option under their Mercedes tab. I've reached out to them and will let you know what they say.
