Minor upgrade, but the exterior mods I wanted

I'm out of the country, but just had these installed by my dealer; I'll get some real pictures next week when I get home.

I couldn't find a carbon diffuser I liked, as most are the Renntech style, which is "too much" beyond factory specs for my taste. Capristo's version looked pretty close, but at $4300, was more than I wanted to pay.

Enter Chrometec, who overlays OEM parts with carbon. Patrick was very helpful & agreed to do the factory style diffuser & mirror covers in matte carbon to match the interior. All in, it still wasn't cheap (with shipping from Germany), but I think the matte is unique and the OEM design with trim insert looks good. Subtle & likely no one except maybe an enthusiast would ever notice the difference. I may follow up with the front splitter, but decided to leave it in the satin chrome for now; mostly I fear tearing up a front piece in carbon on a curb or steep approach.

Very nicely done. Very tasteful, I'm not a fan of the huge Renntech diffuser either.

Looks incredible! And agreed on the Renntech. Too ricey looking for a car of this caliber.

A bit late in updating, but these are better shots of the matte carbon bits. The license plate frame is gloss CF, but the difference is more apparent in person.
