Well I finally had enough of her
I sold my car, 2016 GTS, a couple weeks ago after buying her in Feb and having to leave her in the shop twice (she was my DD), ((3 if you count the 2+ weeks for someone breaking in and stealing my radar detector and needing windows to be shipped from across the country)) for 3ish weeks per session. I just couldn't put up with the repair costs / down time for things fixed under warranty. Traded down to a 2019 M4 Comp Package 6MT with ~9800 mi. Sad to see her go but unfortunately I became almost as familiar with MB loaners as I was with my own car and I think 2x shop visits for engine work was too much for me to stomach in less than 10mo of ownership.
Don't know if you guys have dealt with similar issues, but the first time was a limp mode where they replaced the boost pump regulation transducer (or something like that, I don't have access to the invoice) and purge lines and the second most recent was a cyl 4 misfire where they took 2+ weeks with no diagnosis or remedy and I just ended up doing a buy bid thru BMW to sell it back to the dealership.
Sad to see her go but hopefully this new car will give me better luck.
Come to find out this is a well known issue on these cars and the fix is new injectors ... but the area service rep makes the dealership jumps through hoops before authorizing the injector replacement. I have had my car back for 1 week now ... and no code so far.
However the dealership was very sloppy and did not put the trunk trim back in correctly and it will go back for them to button it up properly.
I have an Alfa Giulia QV and it has all sorts of issues with misfires.
