Looks great. I went the opposite route though. My gloss white GTS is fully wrapped with Satin xpel. Haha. I think anything that is not stock looks great. lol.

Looks like this one is making an appearance on the used car market > https://www.texashotrides.com/2018-m...-75001/7034836
Personally, I am so tired of matte finishes and feel MB overdid it on so many GTRs but this gloss version of Green Hell really caught my eye last year and I still find it stunning.

No, for this the templates have to be customized to wrap around the edges and cover parts that are left uncovered otherwise. I was considering doing the opposite with my C63S. It's Obsidian black and I was considering wrapping it with XPEL Stealth to get the matte effect. It's pretty expensive, because of all the extra customizing etc., and at the end of the day like some poster above said, I realized that I'm not really keen on these matte paints and I much prefer the light reflections in gloss paint. Nothing beats a clean, polished gloss black metallic car, IMO.

Thanks a lot for answer. I have been testing both XPEL Ultimate and Stealth on my matt paint. I like the gloss look better than matt look for sure. Only thing I don’t like so much with is the Ultimate is the “appelsin” peel close up. With the Stealth the PPF is all smooth and the surface I actually smoother. Tough choice…..

I agree with thebishman - $6k might even be light. Authentic Details in TX did the wrap and would most likely tell you what it cost > https://www.authenticdetails.com/?fb...xU_x5USIxJwEa0 They also show this GTR on their FB page.
I chatted with them when I first saw the post and found them very easygoing. Their feedback to me since I was not local was exactly what thebishman stated - finding a competent shop is crucially important.

Here are some pictures showing the orange peel with XPEL Ultimate. Also se how the light in roof reflects in the PPF. That said, there is a lot of orange peel I original paint, so I can’t blame the Ultimate. Also notice how the Stealth hides thee orange peel.

Oh yeah, that's the paint. MB paint has distinct orange peel. The paint is actually the same between Gloss and Magno. They just have different clear coats. With a glossy coat, which is what Ultimate adds, you get the light reflections, so you see the orange peel. You get that with factory gloss as well. The film doesn't change that. It's just the difference between having a matte coating that doesn't reflect the light and a glossy coating that does.
