I just purchased my next adventure, a CAV GT40 replica, I think I will stick to cars and coffee with it
Thanks

ThanksCouple of questions for educational purposes:
1. How did you end up in the wall?
2. How did things work out with your insurance company, and did you have track insurance in place?
2. I used Lockton track day insurance. They came, they saw, they wrote a check. Very pleased with the process, highly recommended.
In hindsight I regret putting lap timing equipment in the car before I had more experience. I was very motivated to improve lap times every outing, pushing it to 9/10. I was doing laps that would have qualified me towards the top of big bore vintage racers and got overly confident. My plan going forward will be lots of skid pad work to improve car control. The GT40 will be a cars n coffee deal. I love the track and will likely get an older road course NASCAR for track fun. Looking forward working on a car myself and not going to the dealer for everything.

wonder how it drives.
I did buy it, arrives next week. First stop is a local race shop that has a long history and stellar reputation for work on high end vintage racers (https://jandlfabricating.com) I want to make sure it is 100% safe and sound before I do anything with it. I'll update once I get some miles on it. Thanks
