Underseat Subwoofer

Again forgive the newbie question, has anyone considered an underseat subwoofer to get around the lack of bass? I have the upgraded Burmeister system.
Is it even possible to install such a device in the C190 considering the space under the seat, or even both seats?
I was also looking at the possibility of 'hanging' some kind of sub in the space between the seats but not sure about the aesthetics of such a solution...
Loving the car BTW and this forum has been a massive help. Getting the creaking struts issue sorted next week thanks to the info I've read on here.

There's not much room under there. Why not add a legitimate 12 inch sub in the hatch?

Thanks for the response Kumizi, if you're referring to the boot space, I want to keep it free of a sub as I'm using the car as a DD and the boot space is very handy as it is .
Can I replace the stock sub with what youre recommending?
