What confuses me are the following reviews.

This guy didn't think that his GTC roadster was a very good DD because of the ride quality among other things.




Savageese said the same in his final thoughts 24:30


Does a coupe ride better than a roadster or is it that it is really a function of the roads that you are driving on? ie on good roads it rides great on bad ones not so much.

Any review about ride quality is highly subjective. I love the ride in the GTC and the coupe and roadster ride identical. I suggest to just ride in one and judge for yourself.
People often complain about the seats but those are the standard AMG performance seats. They will likely have issues with all cars that feature this seat type...

Wolfman is absolutely correct, but all of the GT versions are oversprung IMO (except GTR), And as a result, are highly sensitive to tire pressure or tire manufacturer.

I’ll say this again, The Renntech coilovers are the answer to any ride quality issues.

Roads and tire pressures are probably the biggest factors, and ambient temperatures to some extent as the compound gets stiffer at lower temperatures. Ride quality is always worse if temperatures drop and you are on summer performance tires. But tire pressure is probably the biggest factor in AMGs that many don't realize, especially in North America with our useless B-pillar stickers. In NA, the sticker on the B-pillar only lists the max load max speed tire pressure. This is rarely the correct tire pressure to use, unless you have the car fully loaded and plan to take it to the German Autobahn and drive near the top speed. All other times, that tire pressure is way to high and makes for a terrible ride quality. The proper tire pressures to use can be found on the sticker inside of the fuel door. The pressure you wanna use is called the normal load pressure for speeds <= 155mph, 1-2 passengers and empty trunk. It can be significantly lower than what's on the B-pillar and therefore makes a big difference in ride comfort.

This makes a lot of sense in terms of explaining the variation of experience.

Iirc the recommended psi for the GTR was 31, and when on the street I always ran 29 psi. Helped with the compliance greatly and never caused any excess tyre wear and/or handling issues.
