Battery problem

Hi All,
I am based in the UK and i am looking for some help with my battery.
My GTS has developed a fault that displays on the screen as "Charge Battery" in white followed by "Charge battery" in red.
Neither of these can be cleared to get back to the normal display.
The battery is fine and the car starts ok etc. etc. The battery at rest reads 13.75 volts and all is well.

Any help would be appreciated.
Paul.

Fast and Really Fast Sports Cars
At rest seems high. Do you mean 12.75V?

Do you have the battery charger/conditioner that came with the car? If so have you connected it to the rear 12v outlet in the back of the car to let it recharge the battery?

I looked for the rear charger but could not find it. I have driven the car on a 1.5hr run and it still says the same all the way.

When you open the trunk, look in the left back corner and there is a round 12v charging port there to connect the MB charger to.

you connect the charge port with the vehicle off and let it sit overnight. The MB charger has some indicator lights that will tell you how low or full the battery is.

No problem - not 100% sure, but the warning is pretty critical as if the battery dies, it cannot be jumped like a regular battery and you’re just stuck. My guess would be if you can connect it to the conditioner/charger overnight (or possibly longer), that when it shows it’s fully charged, the DIC alert/message would go away.

Back to basics, have you tried just unplugging the battery from vehicle to reset the system? I know it's old school, but sometimes the simplest/easiest solution works, like hitting your starter with a hammer haha.
