What do we think of this wing placement? Apparently the owner wanted a wing, but didn't want to go through the hassle of disabling the stock wing and placing it there, so he just slapped it on further up the trunk lid.
It may be just me but I think it looks ridiculous.
I think I remember seeing the owner who did it post it here or in the Facebook group, but can't remember for sure atm. But yes, that's a really stupid solution imo. Did they drill into the lid, or just use trim tape?

I can't tell, I just stumbled over this car on Autotrader while seeing where prices are this week. Would tape even hold a wing on?
This is actually not that common. There is a GTS local to me that is owned by tuner shop owners and stye slapped a massive wing at the back also in this manner. I will have need to look at closely but certainly does feel like a half assed effort. If I go the wing route, I'd want to do it properly. I did talk to them and they said it was drilled into the trunk because otherwise it would not hold.

Looks absolutely ridiculous. Comes across as an afterthought and an afterthought done after drinking a bunch of stupid juice. It throws off the lines of the car and if I didn't know the owner did it on purpose I would think it was a major screw up at a shop. As in- the boss walks out after his afternoon nap and sees that Nunzio put the wing in the wrong place. He violently smacks himself in the forehead and fires the guy on the spot. Then Nunzio no longer having a job and now being known throughout the US as the guy that did that he is forced to sell his family into the awful underground world of human trafficking the reality is with and kids are so ashamed of him they chose that path themselves. Fast forward 9 months and our body shop guy is committed to a state mental hospital with that picture being the only evidence of his insanity. However, that is enough to get him committed to the Breckenridge Asylum for the Criminally Insane for the duration. Smash cut to a scene of Nunzio staring blankly out of a window on a cold and rainy day. As 100s of Mercedes AMG GT owners are allowed to line up and each smack him in the back of the head each one exclaiming WTF were you thinking mate? /scene
