'17 AMG GTS trans slipping
I bought a '17 AMG GTS back on March 1st for my 30th. Car now has 16k mi and the manufacture powertrain expired January '21.
I've noticed over the past couple months the trans seems to be slipping. To give you an idea at around 60-70mph cruising if you floor is it down shifts stutters (feels like it's slipping) and then off you go. I took it Mercedes last week, they were able to replicate the issue 1x. The answer I got was basically if we break it down and find nothing you have to pay all the labor costs... that's even with my 7yr/100k warranty.
Has anyone had the issue or maybe know I can get the dealership to honor the work? (goodwill?)
Thank you for the help.
400k on AMG's I'd hope they'd want continued business lol

I would take it back and tell them to do further testing, send those results back to Germany, and if the issue continues you will contact Customer Care and open a case.

I agree, start with an oil flush.
It will get worse, so I would drive it until it does. Then it will be clearer to the techs that it needs to be replaced.
If you want to see a hot mess, take a look at the Tremec DCT used in the new C8 Corvette. Brand new owners' cars are being laid up for weeks BC of DCT failures of a few different types and replacements tough to get BC manufacturing is using them all up in the assembly line building 180 cars a day.
W/O posting the actual forum and thread, here is a cut/paste of the most recent post, brand new just today:
Yes my 2020 C8 JUST hit 3K miles, purchased last December.
Driving yesterday got some weird shifting then display said " Idle creep temporarily disabled "
The shifting became nasty, seemd to skip from 1 to 3 NO second gear, then from 3 to 5 NO 4th gear
Got to my office and lo and behold NO REVERSE AT ALL
Suffice it to say, I did not pass go, I did not collect $ 200, but I did make it to the dealership.
Dealership is " very busy " they will see about getting to this " this week "
and of course, NO LOANER...due to GM new " policy " until they determine this to be a longer term repair...NO LOANER..... that's some REAL BULL SHARK
$ 88 grand and they " will see about getting to it this week "
I asked to 1st serv ice while there, service writer could " not find anything about trans filter change out "
and I sold a 2019 Mercedes E63 AMG to step into this, I'm thinkin this was a BIG MISTAKE

That sounds like BMW sold Chevy all those Transmissions they had laying around from the M5's of yesteryear and chevy added a few more gears to it. Poor guy, "will see about getting to it" is what no one wants to hear especially on a 3k mile car.
