PPF for black series

Seems odd it’s taking Xpel so long to come out with templates for the Black Series.

Mine has been sitting at the shop waiting for a week already.

I know Suntek came out with one but their kits aren’t very good.

Everyone else running into the same issue?

…..and we really appreciate you being the first and acting as a “test mule” for the rest of us.

Your installer should be able to call Xpel and get a estimated availability date.

I recommend using XPEL PRO and not XPEL unless they have a newer enhanced product.

Are they going to take the body panels bumpers off?

Is your installer doing a “all over” job?

Also please consider Exoshield for the windshield. A rock could do a lot of damage and who knows how long it would take to get a replacement.

Congratulations on your new BS and I hope your enjoy it.

Best regards

Jerry

I agree with Jerry: a BS deserves a custom PPF install so that no seams are visible at all; everything needs to be wrapped. A really great installer can do that and not rely on pre-specified cuts of PPF from Xpel from the plotter.

2021 GT Black Series
I just picked mine up last Friday from full coverage PPF. It took about a week and a half but came out great. They used what Xpel had and then did custom panels for the areas that Xpel didn't have patterns for.

A skilled installer doesn’t need no stinking template. They cut it on the car
