I am becoming more and more accustomed to working in metric everything and just about ready to make the change myself, even though I go back two gens from Eur.
After I graduated in marine engineering in Holland I worked in Nigeria for 2 years, 7 years in Jamaica and was hired by DOW chemical, USA in the mid 70's as a project engineer to set up hydraulic systems for Nord Sea oil platforms, in the 80's I had a partnership with a German company in Wiesloch, Germany and one in Reutlingen.
I now have a working relationship with GoDaddy.com for the developement for my Internet property 4U.com which I have owned since 1995.
Always have had an interest in cars and boats (owned many P-cars throughout the years and drove a Porsche 928 GTS for 15 years before getting into MB's in 2015).
The attached picture is of my 1994 928 GTS, mine was one of the very few imported in the USA with a manual 5pd. In order to keep a 928 running well in the USA you had be able to D.I.Y as there weren't many dealers that were any good at doing it. So for me it has become a kind of second nature with cars or boats I have owned to D.I.Y most of the time. Likewise I like to share experiences with others that do the same, there is always some thing to learn in any exchange.
Whatever I can't fix I have my wife take care off!
