2018 GT-CA Wheels on a 2020 AMG GT?

2018 GT-CA Wheels on a 2020 AMG GT?
To make a long story short, I have (had) the option to swap the wheels on a 2020 AMG GT (base) to a set from a 2018 GT-CA. The dealership said the offset doesn't work, so the swap isn't looking to happen. It's unfortunate, because I dislike the wheels on the 2020 AMG GT (base). Though, they didn't specify if the issue was the front or rear - assuming the rear. Would something as simple as spacers be the problem solver? If so, does anyone have any idea what size spacer?
