Puddle light replacement (mirror)

I feel like I've been all over the MB world looking for a factory replacement puddle light (in the side view mirror) for my 2016 GTs without luck. I've called several dealers without luck and even been insulted several times by the MB customer service guy trying to find replacement lights. Ideally I would like to find these from a newer model with the AMG projection versus the standard white light that I have/had from the factory. Has anyone had any luck finding the AMG projected puddle lights that are a direct fit or have original replacement part numbers for the MY 2016?

Hi,

The lights cannot be bought individually. Its always with the lower mirror cover cap.
And this cap is also available in different colors. i.e. you have to add the color code of your GT to the order number.
Or you take these in gloss black, that goes with everything. Standard with Carbone mirrors or with night package.

If you want the latest version with the new AMG logo:

Left: A190 810 63 00 & color code

Right: A190 810 64 00 & color code

Color code gloss black: 9040

If you want the cap in the color of your car, send me your VIN. Can look for the color code of your car.

The costs are amazingly low, around 70 USD each. (Gloss black)

However, the whole thing also has a disadvantage. The exit lighting with logo is a lot darker.
Not usable due to the high installation position and the fact that the mirrors move with the door.
Only looks good.

The exit lights are important to me and I recommend putting lights on the underside of the door.
This is easy to do. There are 2 rubber stoppers per door, in which 1 or 2 COP LED lights (12V) can be placed. (Take the appropriate 6500K with original sill lighting)
Then you can really see where you step. Electrical connection, parallel to the logo light.

General Info:
The mirrors of the GT are basically still installed in the SLS series 197, SLK series 172 and SL series 231

best regards

Stenzel

Thanks for the info, my vin is:
WDDYJAJA4GA000669
I believe it has the night package. Honestly the biggest problem I have with my puddle lights is one side is burnt out (not working) and the drivers side is blinking like it is working on being burnt out. I was thinking the AMG logo would be nice even if subdued.

Hi,

Of course the logos look nice. In combination with additional exit lights, Its perfect.

Your car is ED 1 in sellenite gray, color code: 992U
According to VIN you have the night package, code: P60

You should have glossy black mirror caps on the bottom.
Just, take a look. :-) :-) :-)

Order for a AMG logo projector / gloss black cap:

Left: A190 810 63 00 9040
Right: A190 810 64 00 9040

Luminaires are often monitored at MB. If a light is flashing, it normally means that too little current is flowing. (Wrong lamp, bad contact, etc.)
For you, it may be related to the fact that a lamp does not work.
Although the lights are switched by the respective door control units, they are possible because they are networked via the interior bus.

Best regards

Stenzel
