AMG GTR Pro manually adjustable steering column

Happy holidays Gents!

I'm seriously thinking of converting the OEM sports seats that came with the AMG GTR Pro to bucket seats. However, it seems that by doing so one would lose the adjustability of the steering column due to the fact that the electronic adjustment uses the ECU in the sport seat.

Has anyone who made the switch been able to reprogram the steering column adjustment or switch the steering column adjustment to be manual?

Correct.
I have reached out to OPUS since they were able to either retain the OEM column in Shmee's car or converted it to manual.
That was about 6 weeks ago and no response.
I am going to start looking into a manual swap when I have a bit of time.
I am living with no wheel adjustment, it is not horrible. I have it where I like it for track, so a bit awkward for street duty.
As for converting to buckets, do it! If you love tracking your car this is simply a must.
For seats, I went with the Recaro PROFI SPG XL seats. Better than the Poles IMO.
I have part numbers for seats, brackets and sliders if that is the route you want to go. Not plug and play like a set of MB factory buckets. But you will probably save 7-8K based on the going rate for new and used bucket seats.

Thank you! Let us know how the development with OPUS goes, hopefully they will give a response which requires no manual steering column swap! This probably will be one of the projects I'll tackle to this car in the new year.

how were you able to deal with disconnecting the side airbags and seat ECUs? Did you need to set up dummy signals or program around this?

For now living with several warning messages and no steering column adjustability.
Also, I don't exactly have seat belts. I do have a racing harness (the car is not a DD, nor do I drive it much on the roads).
The only thing I am lacking for the 3 point seat belt is a receiver. I just need to order one from MB and mount it to the bucket frame. Not a big issue. I didn't want to harvest the receiver off the original seats.
From what we can assume; OPUS was able to regain all of Shmee's functions when they converted his GTR roadster to buckets.
