I had never owned a Porsche of any kind, until now and swore by MB’s. Love my AMG GTS and it’s a beast being 620hp with DME Tune and the exhaust is hard to match. However, at just about everything else the 911 C4S outshines the GTS and it’s mad because it’s significantly underpowered on the AMG. Being AWD is also helpful considering where I live, which means I actually use the 911 in the winter as well if I want to. Just sitting in the cockpit of both, the 911 feels way more refined and a ‘driver’s car’ and makes you feel much more in control of the vehicle which you can then use to push and translate on the road. I didn’t end up keeping the AMG as I have other vehicles and ultimately space runs out but I wanted a period where I had both so I could truly make up my mind as to which I wanted to keep and I landed on keeping the 911.
