Front brake cooling ducts on "street"

Front brake cooling ducts on "street":

any issues with the brakes being "too cold" ..?

My concern is too much cooling won't allow the brakes to warm up properly while driving on the street...

OEM brake rotors/pads don't need to be up to any particular temp in order to work safely. If you have aftermarket parts (e.g., full-race pads), you may experience braking that's less or more aggressive/smooth/linear/etc., but it's unlikely that you'll have any issues in an emergency stop as long as you apply adequate brake-pedal pressure. I'm assuming that you don't have full-carbon brakes, such as those found on F1 cars. $;-))

You don’t mention what rotors you have, iron versus CCMs, but even modern CCMs don’t need ‘heat in them’ to work great on the street.

You’ll be absolutely fine leaving the brake ducts on the car at all times, just remember the most important component to have warmed up is the person behind the wheel!

Rear brake ducts fashioned from steel flex pipe. The backing plates were drilled with many holes.
Austin-Healey 3000 race car circa 1967. 😀

Looks like old-school "bailing-wire" approach ... none of this new-fangled zip-tie stuff. $;-))
