CEL Stored Codes - where?
Does MB allow access to the CEL stored codes in the onboard display, iPhone app or do you need to go to a dealership to have them read?

MB has no provisions to display fault codes onboard on this model (or any later models). You would need a scan tool fed from the OBDII port to access faults.
A few words on scan tools:
MOST scan tools out there are only capable of reading powertrain faults (P-codes), but they are incapable of reading any B-codes, C-codes or U-codes. To be able to read all possible fault codes, you will need a deep scan tool capable of interacting with MB architecture. Then, BC of this more specialized model (AMG GT series) some of the deep scan tools are not capable to reading some of the AMG architecture.
The dealer too is always an option, of course.
