Have a semi-high mileage 2016 AMG-GTS. 43k miles. I’ve owned it for 6 months and never had any issues with it. Just received an alert that service A5 is due. Upon looking into what exactly constitutes a Mercedes “A Service” (I am coming from back to back Porsches) it appears that it’s a lot of checking components and that nothing really of substance is performed. From the more experienced owners: is this something I should be bringing the car to the dealer for? If so, how much should I anticipate to pay? Would like to know if I can simply do an oil change and call it a day. Thanks in advance for all of the help.

Pro-Tip - if you need a loaner most dealerships wont give them out for an oil change but will for a Service A. Talk to your Advisor about this; they can write it as a Service A and charge you oil change prices. Mine does!

As skilly said, it's a glorified oil change. If you have an indy you trust, take it there!
